Passport To Employment Progam seeks two short term poitions:
As Part of the Passport to Employment initiative, a pilot program is being developed to enhance the job search skills, essential skills, health awareness and learning awareness of specific mature workers

Resumes are being accepted for two short term positions:
1. Research & Development
2. Facilitator

Passport to Employment is a five week program designed to enhance the job search skills of mature workers 55 – 64.
Some mature workers lack essential skills,health awareness and learning awareness which go beyond job search skills and are barriers to their successfully re-entering the workforce.
A unique program titled Passport Essentials, which is considered part of the Passport to Employment program is being written to assist mature workers with essential skills barriers.
The program has three primary categories: These are:
1. Communication: reading, writing, speaking, listening, numeracy
2. Health: social, emotional, physical
3. Learning: understand learning, how to learn, and learning barriers
We are seeking two individuals with specific skill sets for a ten week period to
carry out the research, development and implementation of the program”
Research and Development position.
The individual is required to have:

Experience working with adults 55 – 64
-
Knowledge of mature worker literature
-
Capacity to write curriculum
-
Level 2 or 3 Choice Theory expertise
-
Capacity to administer Myers Briggs
-
Capacity to analyze data
-
Formal teaching experience
-
Understanding of learning theories
-
Understanding of the role of health in the lives of mature workers
Facilitator position
The individual is required to have
- Experience teaching adults 55 – 64
- An understanding of the age and stage of life as it relates to mature workers
- Capacity to teach curriculum relating to the nine essential skills
- Capacity to teach computer skills
- Capacity to teach job search skills
- Capacity to teach specific learning strategies
- Capacity to integrate social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual health into the Essential Skills program

Passport To Employment - Create a List - Facilitator Associates
Mature Islanders at Work
Passport to Employment is creating a list of facilitators who may be called on to facilitate a component of the Passport to Employment program. A two-day workshop is being held on October 2nd and 3rd to train individuals.
Facilitators will be called on an “as needed” basis.
